We operate with help from interns and volunteers. The work and time these dedicated educators, environmentalists, and bee-lovers contribute make our work possible.

If you have a skill you want to share with us that isn't listed here, let us know!

Gain valuable experience working in all aspects of a growing nonprofit, with direct mentoring from the staff. Interns teach, table, write, edit photos, do research, and take on special projects, among many other things - no two days are alike! For that reason, interns need to be flexible, enthusiastic, and ready to learn new things. Current San Francisco State University students can earn up to 3 credits per semester for interning with us. For more information about beginning an exciting and enlightening internship with Planet Bee, contact our Executive Director.

Volunteer Beekeepers

All of our beekeepers are volunteers, and we always need more help. Beekeepers maintain hives at a school locations, and sometimes on nonprofit campuses. When you bee-keep with us, you're a volunteer teacher, too! All of your trips to the hive as a volunteer will be open to teachers, staff, and community members. Your goal is to keep the bees healthy, and hopefully train some new beekeepers in the process.
