Want to learn more about integrating STEM concepts into your classroom lessons? We offer unique hands-on professional development workshops that help teachers take STEM lessons to the next level in their classrooms. Our dynamic interactive workshops demonstrate how to meet NGSS, Common Core, and district standards while reaching learners of all levels using cross-curricular methods. Participants in our workshops have full access to our online materials, video lessons, and synchronous STEM lessons.

Craft your ideal Charcuterie Board! Unlock the art of pairing honey with savory delights in our charcuterie board workshop. BEE A SCIENTIST!
Students will observe insects, record their findings, describe what they see, and compare data. Learn about citizen and community science to help the world (especially bees!) around us!

POLLINATORS IN YOUR NEIGHBORHOOD
Gather your teams for an exciting campus adventure as you search for pollinators! Led by Planet Bee scientists, participants will explore your campus, documenting observations of plants, birds, insects, and all living things. This fun outdoor workshop promotes gentle activity and sparks youthful curiosity. Join us for a memorable journey through nature right on your doorstep!
BEESWAX CRAFTS WORKSHOP
Discover the art of crafting natural beeswax-based products in our guided workshop. Participants have the choice of making healing balms, lip balms, and other personalized items for their own use. Dive deeper into the history, uses, and science behind beeswax production as part of this enriching experience.
HONEY INFUSION WORKSHOP
Discover the world of honey in a guided workshop where your team will learn about honey and how to enhance the taste and aroma while creating their own unique concoction. Choose from a variety of herbs, spices and fruits to enhance and personalize your jar of honey!
BEE AN ENGINEER: FOR TEACHERS!
Join Planet Bee in exploring how the Engineering Design Process can build in students the curiosity needed to explore big questions, and the resilience to keep pursuing answers when they don’t figure it out the first time!
BRINGING THE OUTSIDE IN!
Too often, we encounter barriers in our classrooms that prevent us from engaging in hands-on scientific experiences. From lack of time, to lack of resources, let’s take time to think critically about how to circumvent those barriers and bring the natural world directly into the hands of our students!
UNIT 5: FOOD SUSTAINABILITY
Students explore food sustainability and its global and local impact, empowering them to advocate for sustainable food systems in their communities. They'll learn about the vital role of bees in agriculture and participate in hands-on activities to harvest and prepare garden-to-table meals, connecting sustainable gardening practices with everyday food choices.
UNIT 4: FRUITS OF THE PLANT CYCLE
Students learn the art and historical importance of seed saving. Students will nurture plants from seed to sprout, exploring the cultural significance of heirloom varieties while delving into the world of plant life cycles and parts, discovering how seed saving preserves biodiversity and honors indigenous tradition.

NATIVE BEE CITIZEN SCIENCE PROGRAM
Schools will have the opportunity to join Planet Bee’s Native Bee Citizen Science Project in the coming school year. This engaging program includes placing native bee homes engineered by students on their school campus to conduct research and collect data using scientific methods (including the iNaturalist app) as they help bees survive through stewardship projects. We offer a Professional Development Workshop to train educators on this process.
