Dr. Ethel Tshukudu is an Assistant Professor of Computer Science and Science Education at San José State University. She holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science and is passionate about making computing and artificial intelligence education more accessible and meaningful for students and communities.

Ethel leads CSEdBotswana, an initiative that expands opportunities for teachers and young people through coding, computational thinking, and AI education. She has also partnered with a Silicon Valley school to establish and support a year-long coding club at Yerba Buena High School, with plans to expand these opportunities. Through community partnerships and hands-on learning, Ethel is dedicated to broadening participation in STEM and helping more young people see themselves as part of the future of technology.
