Congratulations to the 2023 The GIANT Company Healing Our Planet: Beekeepers in Need Grant Recipients

Planet Bee and The GIANT Company have joined forces to launch the 2023 Healing Our Planet Beekeepers in Need Grant Program. This collaborative initiative focuses on environmental education for students and educators in Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia, and West Virginia. The partnership has successfully established bee hives in community gardens, raising awareness about the crucial role of bees in our food system. The ultimate goal is to foster a generation that prioritizes environmental stewardship, empowering individuals to care for struggling bee populations and other pollinators.

The GIANT Company's commitment to the planet and local communities is evident through its support of local beekeepers. Recognizing the significance of bees in pollinating food that reaches family tables, the company will award grants of up to $2,000 to beekeepers in need. This financial support is available to commercial beekeepers, backyard beekeepers, and beekeeper organizations that have faced colony losses due to various reasons, such as theft, harsh winters, vandalism, or other causes.

Through this partnership, Planet Bee and The GIANT Company are working together to make a positive impact on the environment, educate the community, and provide assistance to beekeepers facing challenges. By nurturing bee populations and promoting environmental consciousness, they aim to create a greener and more sustainable future for generations to come.

In a world where environmental challenges are becoming more prevalent, it is heartening to witness individuals and organizations stepping up to make a difference. We are thrilled to extend our warmest congratulations to the 2023 recipients of the "Healing Our Planet: Beekeepers in Need" grants, generously powered by The GIANT Company.
