Coding for Conservation

Launching Fall 2025!

Planet Bee Foundation’s Coding for Conservation program builds digital literacy by integrating coding, environmental science, and hands-on learning—no prior coding experience needed! Using Microsoft MakeCode, students will code and deploy BBC Micro:bit sensors creating Smart Native Bee Homes, collecting real-world data on bee activity, temperature, and environmental conditions while developing essential coding and data analysis skills.

Designed to accommodate various grade levels and experience levels, this program is accessible to both beginners and advanced learners. By integrating coding with real-world, hands-on learning, students gain practical experience that prepares them for future careers in technology, sustainability, and environmental science.
