Planet Bee got the opportunity to join the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society (PHS) in celebrating the 197th year of the award-winning Philadelphia Flower Show, hosted at the Pennsylvania Convention Center from February 28th to March 8th. 

To celebrate this year’s International Women’s Month, we spoke with Dr. Kit Prendergast, a valued member of the Planet Bee community as well as a native bee ecologist and science communicator the "Bee Babette”. During our interview Dr. Kit was able to share with us her experiences as a woman in conservation, how to support others in the field, and the significance of her work in science communication and native bee research.
