We reflect that 2025 was filled with steady, purpose-driven work at a time when environmental education, pollinator conservation, and STEM learning face increasing challenges. As public investment in science, biodiversity, and climate education becomes more uncertain, Planet Bee’s mission to cultivate environmental stewards remains essential.
Throughout the year, Planet Bee continued to connect people, pollinators, and place. Using bees as a lens for understanding ecosystems, food systems, and climate resilience, programs engaged students, educators, farmers, and community members in meaningful environmental action. From schoolyards and farms to corporate and civic partnerships, the work emphasized local stewardship with broader ecological relevance.
In 2025, Planet Bee supported large-scale pollinator habitat restoration, adding hundreds of thousands of pollinator-friendly plants to landscapes across the country. At the same time, nearly 200,000 students and community members participated in Environmental STEM education grounded in inquiry, engineering design, and community science. Learners designed habitats, collected environmental data, and explored how science informs real-world conservation, building both scientific literacy and confidence as environmental stewards.
Equity remained central to this work. Many programs served schools and communities with limited access to hands-on STEM education, ensuring that environmental learning opportunities reached students historically underrepresented in science and conservation fields. Planet Bee’s impact is made possible through partnerships with schools, farms, public agencies, and corporate collaborators committed to environmental justice, sustainability, and youth education. Together, these relationships help keep programs accessible, expand conservation efforts, and support the next generation of environmental leaders.
The 2025 Impact Report tells the stories behind the data, highlighting how education, conservation, and community action work together to build resilience for both people and ecosystems. We invite you to read the full report and learn more.
